Works with

Features

Everything the command line does, without the command line.

All the control of a power tool, in an interface you'd actually want to use.

Any format you need

MP4, MKV or WebM up to 4K — or strip the audio out to MP3, M4A, Opus, FLAC or WAV. MP4 downloads remux instead of re-encoding, so they finish fast and lose nothing.

Live progress, real control

Actual percentages, transfer rate and ETA streamed as they happen — not a spinner. Cancel mid-download, retry what failed, queue as many as your plan allows.

Playlists and channels

Paste a playlist and it's detected automatically, with a preview of every item. Take all of it, or just items 2–7. Each playlist lands in its own tidy folder.

Subtitles and metadata

Download captions in as many languages as you like — muxed into the file or saved alongside as SRT. Chapters, cover art and tags are written in automatically.

Sponsors cut for you

SponsorBlock trims sponsored reads, self-promos and interaction reminders before the file ever reaches your disk.

Yours alone

Runs on your own server. Every account gets an isolated library nobody else can reach, and no third-party service ever sees what you download.

Pricing

Start free. Upgrade when you outgrow it.

Every limit maps to something real — bandwidth, storage and processing time. Cancel whenever you like.

FAQ

Questions worth answering honestly.

Am I allowed to download this stuff?

That depends on what it is and where you are. Most sites — YouTube included — have terms that prohibit downloading, and copyright applies regardless of the tool. Downloading your own uploads, public-domain and Creative Commons material, or content you have permission to keep is on solid ground; ripping films and music to redistribute is not. Epic Studio is a tool, and how you use it is your responsibility.

What actually counts against my monthly limit?

One video is one download. A playlist counts as one per item it fetches. Failed and cancelled downloads don't count, and clearing your history doesn't reset the counter — usage is tracked separately from the list you see. Everyone's allowance resets on the 1st of the month.

How long are my files kept on the server?

Barely any time at all, by design. Once you download a finished file it is deleted from the server about half an hour later, and anything you never collect is swept after six hours. Epic Studio is a staging area, not a library — it fetches a file, hands it to you, and forgets it. Your history entry remains so you can see what you fetched and grab it again.

Can I download age-restricted or private videos?

On Pro you can import cookies from your browser, which lets Epic Studio see anything your own signed-in account can see — age-gated videos, members-only posts, and so on. It can't reach anything you don't already have access to.

What happens if I cancel?

You keep the paid features until the end of the period you've already paid for, then drop back to Free. Nothing is deleted at that moment, though free retention is shorter, so grab anything you still want.

What if a download suddenly stops working?

Sites change how they serve video, sometimes without warning, and a link that worked last week can fail today. Fixes usually land within days and arrive automatically — so if something breaks, try it again shortly. If it still fails, the error shown on the queue card tells you exactly what went wrong rather than hiding it.
